The Executive Director is responsible for managing ISIS Europe and leading its development. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of European security institutions and the issues addressed in ISIS Europe’s security governance, responding to conflict, and arms control and disarmament programmes. A proven track record in fund raising and experience in research project management and administration is essential. Knowledge of other EU languages, particularly French, would be an advantage.

Job Description

-           Manage ISIS Europe’s core research work in the fields of EU Institutional Reform and Security Governance; arms control and disarmament of both conventional weapons and weapons of mass destruction; responding to conflict; gender and security;
-           Raise funds for both core activities and research projects;
-           Manage and supervise staff;
-           Carry out administrative and executive tasks;
-           Oversee ISIS Europe’s publication programme, providing quality control and editing The European Security Review and ISIS Reports;
-           Efficiently manage and administer ISIS Europe’s budget;
-           Represent ISIS Europe at national and international conferences and seminars and through interviews with the press;
-           Maintain and extend ISIS Europe’s network of national and international contacts in the international security field;
-           Take direction and advice from the Governing Board;
