The European Commission has published two calls for proposals for the Ideas programme under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).

The calls relate to:

ERC (European Research Council) Starting Independent Researcher Grants -
This action supports researchers who are starting or consolidating their own independent research team or, depending on the field, their own independent research programme. This call is divided into sub-calls in three main research domains:
- physical sciences and engineering;
- life sciences;
- social sciences and humanities.

ERC Coordination and Support Actions (CSA) -
This action supports independent exploratory work to analyse the impact of the ERC and to assist in the development of a strategy for the monitoring and assessment of ERC activities.

The deadlines for submission of proposals vary for each call and sub-call. Details are given on the web site mentioned below.
