This information on funding, public contracts and on beneficiaries of public contracts, which is not exhaustive, is set out below in alphabetical order. This is a first step to increase the transparency with which the European Union handles the funds entrusted to it by the European citizens. The European Commission's Directorate General Communication in collaboration with the other Directorates General and Services is already in the process of improving the quality of the information provided in order to present it in a more consistent, comparable and user friendly manner.
