(LIMA) - A summit of Latin American and EU heads of state and government looking at the fights against poverty and climate change opened Friday in the Peruvian capital Lima.

Some 50 leaders were to discuss those and other issues facing the two blocs, including the spike in food prices, energy demands and trade.
