The EU exported goods worth EUR 213.3 billion to China and imported some EUR 517.8 billion worth in 2024, according to figures from Eurostat, with a resulting trade deficit of EUR 304.5 bn.
The EU and China launched first discussions Tuesday under a communication mechanism intended to facilitate cross-border transfers of non-personal data for European businesses.
