WCO

World Customs Organisation, set up to deal with issues related to cooperation between customs authorities.

Weapons

The EU is tightening up controls on the legal and illicit weapons trade, in particular on firearms, which are one of the main tools of organised criminal groups.

WHO

World Health Organisation, working for a higher standard of health around the world, it is responsible for deciding the substances to be placed under international control.

Witness

Person who witnesses a crime and gives evidence in judicial proceedings. The EU supports witnesses being able to give evidence in another Member State via video-conference technology.

Work

Every EU citizen has an automatic right to work in any Member State, either on a salaried or a self-employed basis.
